I don't like it loud because I love to listen to my sewing machine, too. Loud music also gets on my nerves when I'm sewing because sewing is a calming activity for me; so, loud music disturbs my peace. The genre of music depends heavily upon my mood and who the recipient of the quilt is. I listen to anything from the soundtrack to Tank Girl, to the Dead, to Christian pop, to folk or classical,etc, etc. I also listen to radio shows...not such the technoweenie here, so I don't have anything to listen to podcasts on, but I probably would if I could :o) .
