I usually do “For Baby Smith”, or I sometimes will present the quilt at the shower then take it with me and put a label on after the baby is born with their name and birthdate on it.

I usually address baby shower cards to “Baby Last Name” – maybe that would work? If it has the year too, it will always be obvious whose it is.

Maybe something along the lines of "for the Vanhoozenhauzer's newest family member"? Or, you could leave a space and let them know you want to write it in when they've picked a name. Cheryl S.’s last blog post..Curved piecing!
