I am in the middle of re-organizing and cleaning my sewing space (aka guest bedroom), and have come to terms with the fact that I am simply not going to be doing any knitting or crocheting anytime soon. And the yarn is taking up valuable real estate for fabric, so it must go.
Do you want it?
It’s a mixed bag, for sure. Some soft wool, some squeaky acrylic. Some bulky, some fingering-weight. 3/4 skein of one, five skeins of another. Heck, I’ll even throw in the half-completed sweaters for you to frog and get more yarn out of. There’s a darn good amount of yarn, there.
So, here’s the deal: I want it out of my house. I would love to trade it for some hard-to-find fabric, so if you’ve got some to offer, let me know. Flea Market Fancy, out of print Heather Ross, a charm pack of Wee Play, whatever. I’m not asking for a lot, but I’d feel a little better if I got something in return for all of this wool and cotton.
(Oh, and you know how I feel about people who flake on this sort of thing… don’t make me publicly call you out. That’s all I’m going to say about that.)
If you don’t have anything to offer but still want the yarn, let me know anyways and maybe I’ll pull a random commenter to share the wealth. You never know, people may only offer me creepy clown novelty prints, in which case I’d rather just ship the yarn and not get anything in return.
Since this is going to require a rather large box to ship, I have to keep it to U.S. people, only.
Anyways, leave a comment by this Friday, April 2, if you want in!

Since it’s my birthday, can I ask for the light blue one on the top of pile to make a scarf for myself?
(A girl has to try)
(Who am I kidding, I don’t have time to knit.)

The yarn looks beautiful but sadly, I don’t have any of those special fabrics to offer. I hope you find what you are looking for! I especially love those top three colors in the second picture–beautiful! What were you going to make? Any sewing machine luck this weekend?

That yarn sure does look fun! I do not have any fabrics you are looking for and my yarn drawers are full. Best wishes as you bust some stash!

I would love to help you out with your stash–it would be great for charity knitting. (I knit hats for refugees in Burma and also work with teens in my community who are making a blanket for Warm Up America.) I don’t have any of those fabrics, though. Is there anything else you’d be interested in? Otherwise, I know you’ll find a good home for it.

Well, I too don’t have those lovely fabrics to offer. Funny thing is (and I’m not lying) I brought out my crochet book out just last night to get back to teaching myself how to crochet. I hope to take a class that starts next month. Would you happen to rubber stamp? I’ve never seen you do it, but I figured I’d ask. I have some Bella stamps to offer you, never used. I went a little crazy a couple years ago when she had a free shipping sale. I haven’t been stamping much over the last year and would love to get rid of some.
I’m sure there is somewhere you can donate as well. I know there is usually ladies who knit hats for NICU babies. I have one that my daughter used. So sweet. OK, I’m rambling… -
I also don’t have the fabrics mentioned but I do have fabric!!! Is there a theme that you might want to swap for some of the yarn? I have my fabrics separated by color plus some themes shelves. Perhaps you could be more specific such as flower fabric, insect fabric, tree fabric, Christmas, Halloween, etc. Looks like Susan V. would be a good candidate for this yarn if you are going to send it to one person as she does charity knitting. You can not go wrong with that.
