Castle Peeps Giveaway!

Welcome to my very first giveaway!

I am thrilled to be working with my friends Peg and Becca at Sew Fresh Fabrics.  Peg and Becca are a pair of fabric-loving quilters who recently opened an Etsy shop, specializing in modern designer cottons and Kona solids (a shop after my own heart!). I have crossed quilt-y paths with them in various places – Flickr quilting bees, the blogosphere, and even our local quilt guild.  That’s right, I might be shopping online, but I’m also shopping local! It’s more than just fabric, though.  Not only are you supporting a pair of wicked awesome gals by shopping with them, but you know you’re working with people who love it just as much as you do.  You can tell when the package shows up at your front step (or, in my case, when Peg knocks on my back door – lucky me!), pressed and folded and packaged with great care.

Anyways, today I’m lucky enough to give away one fat quarter bundle of the new Lizzy House collection, Castle Peeps! This will be six fat quarters in the green colorway.  How much do you love this new line?!

To enter, visit the shop and leave a comment telling me your favorite color Kona Cotton that they have currently in stock, and what color you think they should order next!  (Seriously, people. Solid obsession over here. Stage an intervention.)

Comments will remain open until this Friday at 5pm.

And if you want to keep up with all of the great stuff they have in stock, you can also check out their blog, as well as “like” them on Facebook.  They’ll have another shipment of Tufted Tweets next month (squee!), and a continually expanding selection of solids.

Thanks to Becca and Peg for doing this giveaway with me, and for being such a great (local to me!) resource for beautiful fabric!

Edited: comments are now closed, but if you want to order some fabric or suggest new colors of Kona to Becca and Peg, you can always reach them through the Sew Fresh blog!

I am loving the Kona aqua! As for what color they should add next….yeah, I don’t know, I had a hard enough time choosing just one out of what they already have!!

  5. Carrie’s avatar

I love the Grass and Aqua. What about some School Bus?

  6. Elena @ Breakfast for Dinner’s avatar

I love the Kona aqua. I left my color card at home, but I’m always looking for the perfect aqua/turquoise to match my Amy Butler prints. She seems to use a certain shade that only her own aqua solid matches, and I refuse to pay $8/yd for a solid, lol!

I love the Coal, but I’m a neutral kind of person. Maybe they could add a lighter gray as another option.

Cyan. Although, really, any blue or green comes home with me usually :)

Solids are my favorite obsession! I love me some Coal, and I’m quite taken with the Cyan. They need to consider some Pepper and Chinese Red next, I think!

    Hi,
I love the ocean color. I like Kona cottons too, and I think they need lots more washed-out greens, blues, reds, yellows….

Great giveaway! Love those Castle Peeps! My favourite Kona backing is Cerise with Zucchini binding. So IMHO, I think Cerise should be the next color in their collection

Ooh, all so pretty! I’m a brand new quilter, so I don’t have much to work with, but I could come up with something to go with that beautiful Berry color!

Liz: Thanks for the chance to win. I’ve been drooling over Peg and Becca’s etsy shop for some time now! My favorite colors in stock are GRASS (yum) and ZUCCHINI (the perfect yellowy green), and COAL (grey is such a perfect neutral!). The one I wish they had is RAISIN–it a perfect dark eggplanty color…

  21. Katie’s avatar

    Liz-
I love that berry color! Going to try and do some more with solids. Have been collecting fat quarters here and there to go with a black, purple, a green, and yellow print. Don’t know what I’d do with it yet, but still collecting.

I need to buy some charcoal or coal. Looking around I think Glacier looks like a nice blue to add.
    Thanks for the giveaway.

I love the aqua. Right now I am looking for a very light shade of gray, but I don’t want it to have a bluish cast to it. I love the Castle Peeps and green is my favorite of their colorways.

  26. Carrie’s avatar

I love the deep berry! How about some papaya?

  27. Janna’s avatar

DEFINETLY peridot!! LOVE green! And I think the orange would be awesome to bring in – cheddar/schoolbus.

  28. Beth Lehman’s avatar

I LOVE LOVE the Kona Coal – have always liked grey for sashing and the like! I just looked up more of their colors and like the artichoke – a greenish linen color.

  29. Pam M.’s avatar

    Castle Peeps is just awesome!
I have a solid obsession also. I’m currently in love with the Medium Grey, which I’m using in a quilt. I think a nice purple, like crocus, would be a good addition to their store. Thanks for the giveaway!

I am liking the Kona Snow- a bit boring, I know, but I need lots of neutrals to balance out my crazy, loud color choices. I would love to see Kona Raisin – yum!

I love Castle Peeps! I’m so glad it arrived!!! I think my fave solid is ash. I saw a quilt done with ash and it was gorgeous. I’d add a softer yellow to the shop. That’s my fave color and is great for baby quilts for both genders.

Thanks for the chance to enter!

My favorite color they have in stock is ASH. I buy a LOT of fabric and I’m seeing more and more of this soft grey shade coming out to play. I really believe all shades of grey will be hot in 2011. I’d like to see a charcoal color that is in a blue tone, not a yellow tone. Altho I love and use the citrus colors a lot, when I’m putting a red, wine or jade with a grey I want it to be a cool tone, not warm. Loving this Castle fabric. It reminds me of my son’s Playmobile people he had as a child. And the clean design reminds me of something I played with as a child, Color-Forms. Do you remember those? (I loved they way they smelled…probably toxic and illegal to manufacture nowadays!!).

Thank you for sponsoring this terrific giveaway!
